Emma Slade is the head of applied AI at Tangram Therapeutics, an AI-driven biotech based in London. Her team at Tangram Therapeutics builds multi-agentic AI systems to optimise pre-clinical drug discovery in the RNAi therapeutic area. She has spent her professional career in biotech; prior to joining Tangram Therapeutics, Emma spent 4 years at GSK in the AIML organisation after completing her DPhil in Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford. After joining GSK initially as a postdoctoral researcher, Emma became a Director of AIML Engineering, building out a research-focused team to develop novel AIML techniques in the low-data regime, as well as building and running a separate team of engineers focusing on finding novel insights for major respiratory clinics assets.

Outcome: Understand how a commercially and scientifically aligned AI platform can scale drug discovery, today.
