Dr. Naomi Pliamm, MD (University of Toronto, 2002), is a practicing physician with a Family Health Group located in a culturally diverse neighbourhood in North Toronto. In addition to maintaining a busy clinical practice, she has a strong interest in Continuing Professional Development. Since 2004, she has organized and moderated bi-weekly educational meetings for her peers on a wide range of medical topics. Dr. Pliamm is an active member of several Scientific Planning Committees, including those for the Ontario College of Family Physicians (Family Medicine Summit 2023, 2024), the Canadian Medical Association (Joule–Physician Leadership Institute), the University of Toronto’s Gastroenterology and Hepatology for the Primary Care Practitioner CME (Spring 2024), and the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Mature Women’s Health CME (April 2024). She also serves on the Executive Committee of the North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team Primary Care Physician Association. Her involvement in pharmaceutical representative training began through participation in industry-led role-play seminars, which inspired her to develop a custom interactive seminar.
