Dr. Dhuru Patel is an Internal Medicine resident physician at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He earned his M.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine after completing a B.S. in Human Biology with a minor in Business Administration at North Carolina State University. Before medical school, he worked in healthcare strategy consulting, advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. As a resident physician, he cares for hospitalized and ambulatory patients while training in evidence-based clinical decision-making and gaining firsthand experience with the opportunities and challenges of incorporating AI into everyday clinical practice. In addition to his clinical work, Dhuru has contributed to healthcare AI initiatives by evaluating large language models and developing high-quality medical datasets to support clinical AI applications. His interests lie at the intersection of clinical medicine, artificial intelligence, and healthcare innovation, with a focus on the responsible use of AI to improve physician workflow, support clinical decision-making, and enhance patient care.
